Your cart is empty.The Scosche UAKP Kwik Plug is a 8 AWG quick-release power connection for your amplifiers and active bass enclosures. Connects the positive, negative and remote power wires with the positive, negative and remote amplifier wires. Using a size 3 Allen key, loosen the hex screws on the Kwik Plug to connect the positive, negative and remote power wires on one side of the Kwik Plug and the positive, negative and remote power wires on the other side of the Kwik Plug. To ensure a correct connection is made, one side of the Kwik Plug is marked amplifier and the other is marked power. Once properly wired, tighten the hex screws and then connect both ends of the Kwik Plug together. Capable of taking up to 8AWG cable. Amplifier wires are sold separately. Made from high-quality ABS plastic and gold-plated terminals for durability and long-term use.

This thing has made having a dual 12" beast in the back seat so much easier to also accomodate passengers if needed. Just unplug and pull out the box when you anticipate having passengers, and plug it back in when you are ready for bass again.

I have a subwoofer and amp in the rear of my vehicle and this is a great solution to be able to remove everything with ease. Sometimes you need the full space and needing to remove all the Allen screws and more is a real pain. I love that I found this and will always have one now.

Bought this amp quick disconnect for my single subwoofer in my trunk. Since we sometimes need the full trunk space for luggage, I wanted to be able to remove the subwoofer and amp as needed. This plug makes it super easy to disconnect the sub and not worry about having a loose, live power wire in the trunk. Previously, I'd put electrical tape on the hot wire and remote wire when disconnected to avoid shorts, but this plug makes it much easier and safer. I did put electrical tape around the body of the plug at each end to cover the screws for extra protection, but in most cases, it probably wouldn't need it. The screws are slightly recessed in the body of the plug. I just like to be extra careful.One suggestion for other users is to tin the bare wire ends with solder before putting them in the screw terminals. This helps to keep a nice solid connection and make sure the stranded wire doesn't crush and fray when the screws are tightened down.

This is my second purchase of this unit. The first seemed to be OK but this second one used grub screws that were loose and flimsy and therefore I was not able to get a tight secure connection. I ended up having to go the the hardware store and purchase some M6-1.00 X 12 to replace the grub screws and the M6 screws provided a much more secure hold to the cables in the terminal.
