No functional issues with bottom bracket, but the unit I received had clearly been installed once and then returned. Box had grease finger prints on it and the bottom bracket itself had antiseize on it. Happy enough with the product but I shouldn't have to be paying full price for a used part.

The ONLY nice thing about this BB is the big external seals that protect against dirt and water intrusion. The rest of it is pure junk and didn't last long enough to benefit from the nice external seal.The threaded housing is extremely thin and fragile aluminum, and the bearings themselves are unusually narrow. Left side bearing lasted under 2 months and froze up and spun in the aluminum housing.Replaced this with some unbranded Chinese BB at half the price, and while the cheap one lacks the external seal, the bearings are way better and theres no aluminum.

My bike's adjustable cup and cone Spindle style Bottom Bracket needed its annual servicing. But rather than do the clean and grease routine I decided to upgrade it to a cartridge style bottom bracket. This simplifies the hardware a lot (see photo).The conversion from the old spindle & bearings to the Shimano cartridge was easy. I measured the bottom bracket's housing width (68mm) as well as the chain line distance to the middle chainring on the crank's triple chainset (50mm). A quick web search found that the Shimano UN300 122.5mm would be a compatible bottom bracket cartridge. I ordered it, plus a pair of 8mmx15mm fixing bolts to mount the cranks.Installing the UN300 took about fifteen minutes. No problems were encountered; It is essential to have a bottom bracket removal tool (about $10 on Amazon). If this is your first time installing a bottom bracket then I recommend watching a couple YouTube videos that show how it's done.
