Note the size: it’s 8”. So it’s quite a bit larger than a typical 6”, rather a woodworking tool.However it’s very good quality. Not too heavy because the body is aluminum. The tongue is steel (not hardened btw). It’s square, but doesn’t have adjustments, so don’t drop it.

I bought this to help tune up my table saw and for woodworking. It is very accurate. I had cheaper squares and was surprised how far they were off. My table saw is fine tuned and my cuts are square. Now if I only knew where my wife put it when she was organizing my woodworking area!

This is a really handy square to keep around. When I need to be REALLY serious, I can grab my Engineer's squares, but since I purchased this, it is squared enough for my needs. Better than most others I have had experience with. Very handy squaring and measuring tool. Love Japanese woodworking and measuring tools.

I thought is would be heavier and stronger. Squareness is good but product does not fell very sturdy.
