I've lifted weights regularly (muscle toning and strength) for several years and never felt the need to support my wrists or use similar aids. The wrist straps do actually add extra support and provides some lift confidence, especially when taking on 'one extra rep'. I've benefited from these the most with lat pulls and chin ups, I feel like i can activate more of the target muscle group without being limited by my grip. the end part of the strap that folds into your palm as a ridged area which increase the grip comfort. Overall, for the price, really good quality and easy to use.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and need support for my right wrist.They took a bit of getting used to but they came together very easily. I had trouble working out where to put my thumb because I don't have a large hand so it takes a little positioning to get comfortable.I only use them with dumbbells but they certainly helped with wrist pain and protected my fingers.
