These sleeves are a great repair part if your counterfaces are worn or pitted. I used them on my boat trailer to restore the seal counterfaces on the axle stubs. It takes some work and mechanical know how to install them on a axle stub because the supplied installation tool only works on a shaft that is 2 inches or less in length. I had to fabricate a jig in order to be able to drive the sleeve in place as the axle stub shaft is around 6 inches long. However, the alternative would have been to replace the entire axle assemblies which would have cost me over $1k. These are well worth the money and the effort.
