My little panther is about 8 months old. (She's really just a black kitten who thinks she is a grown panther.) She loves to play and is very active. She gets bored so easily. I thought almost 8 dollars for a small toy was a little much, but it has been worth every penny. We've had it for several months now and it's still going strong. She plays with it for hours day and night! I bought an extra today because sometimes it's hard to find when she bats it under the furniture. I'm well pleased that it's still working after many months of frequent use.

It work for about 2 minutes and after that it’s not even moving. I tried to change batteries, still not working. It sad because my cats did like it.

Like the title of this review says, my cat is absolutely obsessed with this toy! This will be my 10th time replacing it (literally) because he asks to play with this specific toy so much and they never last long with how well loved they are. He always drags this toy around my whole apartment and yells at everyone to play with him! Even when you think he's all tired out from playing with it he still asks to keep playing! He's sitting there panting from how much running around he just did and he just wants to keep playing with this toy forever! No other toy has come close to this one in the eyes of my cat. This toy is great but a bit prone to breakage (the top unscrews sometimes but that's an easy fix). But yeah I'd recommend this toy for sure.

Our small dog is blind. Had to have both eyes removed but loves to play. It’s been a challenge to find something he can locate when it rolls away from him. He gleefully chases the toy around.

My cats get bored very fast with their toys, but this is one that seems to keep their attention. The trick is to make it act like a mouse flirting with a cat. When the cats think the mouse is cornered or hiding around the corner, that's when they get excited!Of course, for this toy to be beneficial, the human has to be willing to interact. The toy by itself would not be of interest to the cat.I should mention that both the remote and the mouse require batteries. The remote takes two AAA batteries which is not a problem, but the mouse requires three button batteries, (like watch batteries) size AG13, or 357, or LR44. And those can be pricey.

This is ok, a couple of things to note1) the remote uses tv remote technology so you have to have line of sight to use it on the mouse2) the mouse makes a lot of noise, which is fine, however the remote makes a laud clicking noise and distracts my kitty3) fabric particles get stuck in the wheels so use this on tile or wood flooring only4) the wheels themselves jam up without anything in them, like the plastic gears aren't aligned right5) very low range, like maybe 2 meters at most

My cat is obsessed with this toy. He played with it constantly for years and wore out the chirp sound. It took me forever to find this one online and even though it is ridiculously overpriced, it was worth it.

So I am retracting my horrible review to state that this toy is amazing! The batteries that came with it had just died.... I swapped them out and the toy did not move but being someone who used to work in tech support I should have tried swapping the batteries a 3rd time and not assumed my batteries were good. Anyways I decided to try again with new batteries and it works like a dream now!!!! My CAT ABSOLUTELY LOVES this product. Again I am sorry for my original review, this product is perfect and worth the money!!!

We were VERY saddened to discover that our brand new Chickadee Chirp arrived totally chirpless. The plastic tab was intact but when we pulled it out: crickets. Radio silence. Both our dog and our kitten LOVE any toy with sound so they know exactly what 'the great unveiling' means (i.e. when we pull the tab out with great fanfare so the toy becomes 'alive' for them)...they were so so SO sad when it didn't work...they won't play with it at all, just sit there looking at it, then looking at me, then at it -- you get the idea. Will contact the company for a refund or exchange...generally SmartyKat is an EXCELLENT brand, and these little toys are very well made compared to other ones from competitors, so hopefully this is just a one-off error.

Está lindo pero no duró ni un día el sonido del ave. Desde un inicio casi no se escuchaba y en un día que mi gato jugó con él la tarjeta electrónica se desoldó y ya no funcionó.
