As described! This is a heavy duty utensil that can be use with many other foods around the kitchen, not only for grill, or barbecue, or burgers, which I love a lot. I don’t have a toaster, but I do like my sandwich in the skillet and this smasher helped me in obtain that beautiful consistency and color of the sandwich. Is also great for grill cheese which I did for family. Also is of a generous size that will cover the food and it will be smashed evenly. I did not seasoned it because it was already. It fits my skillet and mini griddle which I used inside the house, so that I don’t have to wait for my family to visit and have an outdoor bbq, when I can do it inside my home anytime. I have to say, it is heavy duty, but I handled it with ease, because of the way it is constructed.

Recommend using wax paper when pressing otherwise it can stick and ruin your burgers on the griddle pulling it up.Can also be used for pressing bacon.

It does indeed feel heavy duty. I can apply a lot of pressure without the fear of it breaking. I’ve also put it through the dishwasher. No problem
