The price is unreasonable. I thought that I was ordering the black cap bottles for $15.99 only with grey covers. But because of the color change, the price increased about 60% for a different color cap! When I reviewed my purchase to see what happened, selecting the grey cap bottles clearly increased the price. Wish I could discern a comparable increase in the quality of the product. My mistake; let the buyer beware. Also, due to other reviews, I check the bottle's expiration date and was astonished to find "7/16" which was only two months after my old bottles which I've had for several years!

These work perfectly well with our Sodastream Source, but the bright-colored ones I bought later were not only cuter, but also a better price for essentially the same, exact bottle. We use our Sodastream a lot -- especially during this hot summer. Having the extra bottles makes a big difference. The price has gone up significantly on the set of three (green/red/orange), so if this is the better value and the gray color is acceptable to you, I recommend these. They are exactly the same quality regardless of color so far as I can tell.

We have a soda stream dispenser. We like it. We hate that the CO2 and the bottles are sooooo expensive, and have solved the CO2 problem with another product. Still stuck buying the proprietary bottles at crazy high prices considering standard plastic drink bottles are almost free. I hate to be locked in after the fact to buying what could be a commodity for highway robbery prices. Three stars because they are well made.

We registered for the soda stream on our wedding registry. My husband said it's his favorite present. He was so excited when we opened it and we've used it a LOT since then. I'm not a big soda drinker so I didn't really care much about it, but I've read about how much better for the environment it is, which makes sense. These bottles are easily rinsed out (don't drink from them) and they store a good amount of soda. It's nice having a few extra on hand. The soda is really good. We've had all of the flavors of soda (not flavored waters) so far and like everything except cream soda (and we don't do diet). The one liter size is wonderful for sharing with someone else and having a few extras ready is good for groups. It's nice having an item in our home like this that saves a trip to the store from time to time. It sits nicely on our kitchen counter and doesn't take up much space. I usually keep a bottle in the fridge filled with water, so that it will be cold when it's time to carbonate it and pick our flavor.
