I love the paper in these notebooks. It's a bit toothy, like sketch paper, but not too much. I use one notebook for notes and another for drawing. The covers feel nice too, and the binding is good; keeps the notebook pages together, even if i flip the cover and some pages all the way back. The paper is also thick and sturdy. I haven't seen any bleed through using different pens.

Really great quality paper, used with a bunch of different types of ink, pastels, oils, acrylic, etc. Good all around paper, bound really well and well worth the price.

the covers are literally just two sheets of britol board paper. I was expecting them to be sturdy cardboard, but that's my fault for not asking.what can you say? its paper.

I can't draw/sketch to save my life. But I do write. And I love using these as notebooks. They are the perfect size to use for journaling or keeping notes on one particular topic. I love how the paper is thicker than your average writing paper and, of course, with the pages being unlined, they are perfect for mind mapping and writing out idea in many different ways.

First, I need to say that I specifically purchased these notebooks to use as journals. These are listed as sketchbooks, and can be used for that, although the grain of the paper isn't as toothy as I myself would use for that purpose. It's sturdy, off-white paper, and the covers of the notebook are fairly sturdy and flexible. The size is optimal, and there are no markings anywhere. It's taken about 20 years of searching to find this basic, basic set of notebooks. This is my third set of these notebooks--the first two sets were the Kraft design.
