Despite being a 1 inch (female) pipe thread on each end, it tapers down to somewhere between 5/8 and 3/4 of an inch in the centre - and then you go through the connection area. However, this flow is still far superior to the 1/2" quick connects that are common on farm tractors and other equipment (Generally I trust them to 30 lpm, but I’ve seen ratings of 55 and 80 as max too). I wish these ones had some flow data on them, although I'd trust them for 50-100 lpm all day long with only slight heat build up from the restriction and turbulence.When you remove them, they have a leak free design. I also like this style for a leak free design when connected as well. If I had my way, and was spending someone elses money, I'd put these on all my hydraulic connections. They come in a single pack (one male + one female), so if you need to connect a second high pressure hose, you’d likely need to order two. If I recall my hydraulic theory, your return line should be larger than your pressure, which is also a good way to ensure they are connected correctly for say a live bottom.They are quite shiny, and brass (or non magnetic and brass coloured), however the machining did leave some sharp edges, specifically on the 1 7/8" “nut”. It appears amazon sells My application for them is for reversing a high flow motor, so they won’t ever be apart long enough to need dust caps, however obviously they are good for any high flow devices, such as custom log splitters and dump trailers, etc.
