this is a great tape measure i am a cabinet builder and installer and this is my favorite tape.i have been using it for over a year now most tapes last me days or weeks or months.I buy new tapes all the time but since i bought this one I havn't had to.I am purchasing another one now I put a slight kink in the tape in a tight spot still works just fine but I like my things perfect.For quality and longevity I whole heartedly reccomend this tape as well as any other spec ops tool.Good quality tools at a very reasonable price

Best tape measure I've ever used. Definitely worth the money has lasted years for me. And looks good too. Very user friendly. I doubt I'll ever need another one because of the quality, but if I ever do I'm buying this one again.

Tough , compact and reel spring as high tension. I use it daily in the steel fabrication industry and i like its small size, when you hold it in your hand you can tell this little 16ft measuring tape can take a punch and keep on working. I highly recommend this tape to anyone who is looking for tough durable and big markings easy to read. This tape does not indicate Metric , both sides are american standard on both sides of tape.Highly recommended

Didn’t realise I needed a new tape, until I bought this one, love that it’s marked (large) on both sides and that it holds its own when extended without bending, really happy

Absolutely brilliant tape measure. Small, and ergonomically shaped but long enough, and wide enough, to use for general internal building/framing. Having markings on all four sides (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) means you're never trying desperately to twist the tape to get a reading. Also, has a super long stand out.

Spec Ops - SPEC-TM16: Fabulous 16’ tape measure. No complaints whatsoever out of the gate. Love the clear double sided measure and clear illustrated fractions. Beautifully legible. My partner does not understand the unmarked measurements on a ruler, so when I saw this tape I knew it would not only be excellent for me, but also a learning tool serving as a clear way for my partner to understand what 5/8" etc means. Wide blade and perfect compact size. The lock stays locked, it engages/disengages easily without the need for excessive force and you actually feel it lock in place. Priced fair. My other two tapes which I've always loved are Stanley FatMax, but I wish I had known about these Spec Ops tapes sooner because all of my tapes otherwise would have been Spec Ops. The scale measurements accurately matches up with my Stanley FatMax. And, with 3% being donated to veteran and first responder causes; I can’t argue with that. If you’re considering to buy a tape measure; I would say, don't hesitate, buy this one.

1. the tape is very heavy compare to other tape i got but my job is not tape focus so it don't matter me :)2. the tape is very big so i guess it would be good for construction and work very well3. my tape how ever was bent from place to place, it don't really matter me as my job is not tape focus but if this is on all tape well my guess it not going to last long, but it could be a defect on my end so you lost a star there ppl :)4. WoW very great tape holder i have seen cheap tape holder from 60$ tape measure, right there that a 3 star would give more but got to keep some star for other stuff lol.but it can be very tight on my belt or pouch, may be it will loosen up with time.in the end this tape is perfect for me and would gladly by a other one now but my budget is short so will wait went this one run out and buy a other one then if there still more:)i wish how ever all type were made of good quality like this, very good job.

I've been looking for a tape measure to add to the few that I have. My criteria were: a wide blade, good visibility of markings, 1/8th a must, double-sided, sturdy blade coating but flexible. Having magnets on the hook wasn't critical.My favorite one so far has been a magnetic 16' Milwaukee with an underside finger retraction control. But when you're doing a lot of measuring, cutting, measuring, cutting, etc., doing mental gymnastics of which 1/8th you're looking at gets annoying. I've cut wrong several times with perfect confidence that I had my measurements right.The Spec Ops tape measure hits all my check boxes! A very solid build, good retraction, although I don't use the button to lock -- I still use the index finder to pinch the blade. Muscle memory from Milwaukee.The standout is excellent. Guys, you are being humble! The packaging says 10'. I get a consistent 12' every time.Excellent visibility of the marking. I like that the belt clip is not stiff. Clips to my leather belt nice and easy when I'm not wearing my work belt with pouches.The hook is pretty huge on both sides. I don't miss the magnets -- the darn things get in the way at times.I can't speak to the overall durability as I have had this tape measure for only a few days and put though a home improvement project, but it has become my favorite. Love it!Happy to support an American business run by veterans! Thank you for your service.
