I bought these hoping I could use them in "reverse" to allow me to replace the rubber "bands" (tubes) on my Barnett Pro Diablo slingshot. The seven-inch, long-reach features were really important to being able to open the rubber tube and slip it onto the slingshot. My worry was that the pliers would not be strong enough and I would bend them. I used two 13-inch pieces of 5/8-inch pipe to increase my leverage, placing the pipe on the handles. These worked fabulously and did not bend or distort. If you need strong, long-reach pliers, I highly recommend these.
