The only issue for replacement on DX8 first generation was the slot for antenna wire pass through on the included slotted antenna base is to narrow to allow the coaxial connector to pass through. I reused the original slotted base. Just a heads up not to throw away the original slotted base or be prepared to enlarge the slot.
