This is an exact replacement for the unloved splash guard on some late model F-150s. Not really a skid plate, the splash guard is a fiber panel that covers up some of the vulnerable stuff underneath the truck. The original (factory) one lasted about 3 years before its started falling apart. I repaired it and bought another year or so, but in the end I had to replace it with this one. You can get an aftermarket real skid plate, but this replacement works OK. It seems a little thinner than the original, so we'll see how long it ends up lasting.

This replacement panel fit my 2019 F150 Lariat perfectly. The mounting tab and the bolt holes all align correctly. The material seems to be the same dense felt of the OEM part.It seems like it will be as durable as the original panel, which for me, lasted about 5 years. The installation process was pretty easy and straightforward, except a couple of hiccups with the bolts. The replacement bolts have a different head size than the original 8mm heads. These are 10mm, so you will need to have both socket sizes, if you are replacing your original. These bolts also have Phillips head slots, so you could use that method instead, if needed. The replacement bolts come with starlock washers to keep the bolts held into the panel before mounting. There is no specialized starlock application tool included. The lock washers didn't want to go on, no matter what I tried and it seemed like if I forced them, they might damage the threads. They aren't critical, they just help avoid loss of a bolt during installation. So, I ended up installing the panel without them.Minor hardware issues aside, I am very pleased with the panel and would get it again as a replacement, in the event I need one.
