I can’t not mention that this little book is adorable. The fabric cover is beautifully printed and there’s even metallic ink on the accents!The paper seems identical to what’s in the Tuamuarta journals. Thick, sturdy, and seemingly well sized. Paint moves well over them and you can do wet-on-wet with plenty of water and minimal buckling.The sticking point is the texture. It’s oddly mechanical and gridlike, giving granulating paints an unpleasant (to me) cobblestone or fishscale appearance. I wish they could just fix this because the journal is otherwise so nice!

This is a beautiful book. The perfect size for tucking in your bag for travel sketching. It is a quality product. My only disappointment is that it is not great for watercolour painting. The paper absorbs the water/paint too quickly so is better for pencil, ink and marker drawings.

Good watercolour Sketchbook and bonus feature is the little elastic to hold a pencil or brush. Would buy again. Binding just ok but for the price, can't complain.

Good quality, lovely distinctive coverPage stuck to glued pocket, but otherwise very good construction. I like the pencil/pen strap as it is nice and snug and fits off to the side without protruding too much.The paper is durable and will hold a light watercolour wash and repeated erasing.Very happy with my newest travel journal

I really like the cover and I am impressed that the paper inside is usable for watercolor. For seriously wet work, it will buckle a bit, but it takes paint very nicely and can support a reasonable amount of lifting of pigments. Be warned that the paper is a bit delicate when wet so if you scrub it at all, you will degrade the surface.But for a field book, it is really excellent.
