A celebration of the birth of the P Bass in the early 1950s, the Classic Vibe ‘50s Precision Bass produces massive tone courtesy of its Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickup. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable C -shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5 -radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets as well as a vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles. This bass is great! Build quality, sound and fit and finish for this price point is a great bargain. The single coil pickup sound is unique enough to warrant owning one, even if you have a P bass with a traditional split coil pickup.BUT the biggest caveat is the weigh of the bass which fluctuates wildly between examples. I bought one from Amazon and it was 12 lbs on my scale. On my back it felt like more! I returned it and they didn’t have another in Sunburst. Bummer. Fast forward to 2025 and I found one from another vendor that was around 9lbs. Bought it and love it including the weight. Cheers.

Un livello di suono e qualità costruttiva che non corrispondono al prezzo contenuto dello strumento…. Meglio così per noi 😊

I own a JV Jazz and American Jazz and I would put this on par with them. Love the quality playability and finish of this instrument. I was told they are being discontinued which is a shame because it’s one of Fender’s best designs. The funky upside down thumb rest to keep it authentic is the only thing I could say bad about it.

Musical instruments like music are to individual taste, of course, but my goodness! Outstanding instrument! I'll sum it up this way: both my guitarist and drummer we're impressed enough to tell me how good it sounded at my 1st gig with it. High praise!Fit and finish are excellent. Couple minor unnoticeable (to public) blemishes but otherwise beautiful instrument. It's a heavy bass though, about 9-10lbs but well balanced with no neck dive. White blond and maple fretboard are simply gorgeous together, makes a statement for sure. And I'm personally partial to '50s P-Bass look with Telecaster head. But you can't play color or looks, so how's it sound? Best I've heard...ever. I play through a combo preamp foot pedal to Hartke amp and 210 cab to front of house PA. A touch of compression, everything else neutral on amp. Preamp bass at 1 o'clock, mid and treb at 11. Bass pot 90% rolled off treb. My goodness, the bottom end is impressive! Full, rich, and booming. Been playing a Sterling Stingray through same rig and could never come close to this Squier's bottom end. Same with my other Squier P-Bass. The single Alnico single coil pickup is key. Placed slightly off center closer to the neck together with me playing between it and the neck. Plus I put older flats on it, the only setup I did on it out of the box. And that full, rich sound carries up the scale to all strings. If you're looking for a classy instrument with full, rich bottom end to cut through the mix that's a joy to play, give this one a look. Well worth the $450 my family paid for my 65 birthday present (old rockers don't die, we just play off into the sunset). Highly recommend.

I picked this up in the Amazon Warehouse Deals area. It arrived promptly, not a mark on it, the electronics work, and even the setup is decent. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Thought I would have to replace pickup before bass arrived, however not going to bother. Sounds great the way it is. Aligned strings a bit better and tightened the truss rod a tweak and intonation. Spot on!Much better than the Mexican ones for sure and can not beat the price. Keep pickin, Guitarmon.

Most versatile single pickup bass I've played in years. Well built and great tone. Purchased in Warehouse Deals. Only damage not disclosed was a broken, and missing pickup mounting screw. But that was quickly repaired. The setup was more than adequate and no issues with the neck. Great buy if you can find one.
