Good product idea, but could use a better magnet, which should be easy, given the surface area that is magnetic.

The Good:- Great for firepits- Good for work sitesThe Not So Good:- Materials kind of cheapI use this with my firepit because I burn wood with nails and screws in it. This works great and it removes all the metal and more after a fire. I use this at times at job sites and it works there as well. The release handle is very convenient and the ball structure is nice so that it minimizes damage to surrounding areas. I did find that the materials that it's made of is a little on the cheap side and would have liked it better if it was a little more solid.Thanks for reading! Good product - great for tight spaces behind tool cabinets, etc. where you might have dropped a tin of screws or nails which need to be picked up. Lightweight and well-made.

Picks up nails with out bending over to much. I'm a bit worried the end bell is a brittle plastic and won't last long. So far picked up a gallon of nails mixed with dust.Works fine

Operates very well for picking up the small debris around my home welding shop which is what my back demanded so i wasn't having to end over. I'll confess its not exactly high end construction but is perfect for the cost.

We had the house re-roofed by a local crew (GAF Gold certified dealer) that did a great job- but it is impossible to control where all the removed nails go so I knew we'd be finding them for a while despite the roofing crews efforts. They swept and used heavy bar magnets around the house every few hours and got most, but nothing will get them all immediately. And I didn't want to be fixing flats on our motorcycles, cars. lawn tractor, etcThis tool fits in between tight plants in the flower beds and along small cracks and obstacles around the driveways better than a big magnet. I've removed about 2 lbs of nails from our beds and nearby areas and we've gotten no flats.Recently I built a chicken coop and run for backyard birds and had to cut and trim a lot of hardware cloth. This tool came in very handy for finding remnant bits left after sweeping the garage that would otherwise have been picked up by tires.Its not perfect. Needs a stronger magnet to lift more bits or heavier weight (there are many available but they cost more than what is used in this tool) and, IMO, a handle 6" longer (I'm 6 ft with 35 inch sleeves and this thing is too short). The magnet used will not pull bits from heavy grass or deep ashes so don't buy it for those uses.
