Awesome paper, I got this for watercolour (because it's cotton) and it handles water and pigment beautifully. It absorbs water at the same rate as my Paul Ruben mini watercolour sketchbook. This will definitely be my go to watercolour sketchbookEdit: after a while of using it, I found that it does have some problems for watercolour, because unlike the Strathmore mixed media art journal, the paper isn't sized. So it's better for using water based markers and then using a waterbrush with them, not good for washes. The finish is great for graphite and coloured pencils. All in all a lovely sketchbook, but I find that the art journal is just that much better because of the sizing.

I get the hype on this little journal! I follow one of the art channels on You Tube and this journal came highly recommended. I got it for a great price and will get lots of use out of it.

Am using it for an art journal and the pages stand up to the variety of media that I use.... from paint to gesso to thick molding clay. Good value for the price.

Copertina extra rigida che quindi protegge bene i fogli all'interno. Consigliato!

BIC got this item to me before my expected date of arrival. I love this journal as it does very well with mixed media. Using watercolor pencils does not cause this paper to buckle which is awesome. This is my third journal from them and I have never been disappointed with this product.

I just love the silky smooth paper in this journal! I can't stop stroking it! I bought the small size journal to start with and it's a great size to carry around. Also, it's less intimidating than a large blank sheet staring at you. Having said that, I'm sure I will buy the bigger sized journal as well, for more ambitious projects in the future. This paper is thinner than some of the watercolour paper I've tried, but amazingly, it doesn't curl even under heavy washes. I've pretty much saturated the entire page and not a single ripple or curl! Amazing! The 34 sheets are plenty enough to keep you going and if you mess up - hey, just tear out the page and start again. I feel more reluctant to use my Moleskine as it is more difficult to remove any mishaps. I don't care much for the brown cover design though, but you can always alter that ;) If fact, I suspect they intentionally made it ugly for that reason! It looks sturdy enough to take even polymer clay. I might try that! Another thing that could improve this journal would be to have larger loops for the binding, allowing the journal to expand. Nevertheless, this was a five-star purchase for me and worth every penny.
