The sword stand is pretty good for what you're paying for offering good stability for even heavy swords. It fits almost any type of katana for the use of display as a piece of decoration. It comes unassembled so you have to assemble it yourself but it's pretty straightforward to do. It will also last you a long time so you don't have to worry about it breaking down. It does well against water too but most likely not resistant to long exposure over time. It has a nice traditional design to it as well offering a really nice look to the overall ambiance that it brings to the area it's placed in and makes any katana stand out more when placed on it.

Tip 1: when assembling use a little wood glue on the mating surfaces. The unit will be very stable.Tip 2: Buy a 1/4" roll of adhesive backed felt. Cut 8 pieces approximately 2" in length. Affix them to where the Saya or sword rests. This way your sword has better protection from scuffing.Other than that, the sword stand is perfectly fine for intended use.

Currently using it for a single Katana, but will easily support two. I had planned on staining it, but it looks fine as is. Assembled very easily, with the hardware supplied. I expect it will last for years.
