it's a good little 1-2 person travel BBQ, when paired with the carry bag makes a nice clean and easily transportable unit. The only downside, it's about double the cost it should be.

This little bbq is the perfect size for compact spaces. It is small enough to fit in our truck camper storage yet large enough to easily fit whatever we are cooking. (Great for a couple or small family) the security latch is the only thing that is very poorly constructed. It is really quite useless so we just sewed an elastic cord to fit snuggly around it for transport. Other than that this is constructed well, fairly heavy duty materieals and works as it should

On a recent trip over Spring break, we took this grill to a rental cottage and it worked wonderfully. The first night we used the grill to cook steak and veggies and they turned out perfectly. I used the medium setting and the temperature stayed even throughout. The next morning, I used the grill (after a good cleaning) as a cook stove with my frying pan to make pancakes and bacon and the stove works great for that too. It boils water fast in my camp kettle too. It's small but it is just like having a one burner stove with the added bonus of having a grill as well so we're going to be using this on future camping trips. It held up well in the wind as well. I just cleaned it with a bit of dish soap and water and a bit of a scrub and everything came clean. It doesn't use a lot of fuel either. I'm very impressed! Only one thing that's not perfect is that you need to be sure you close the lid properly before you pack it. Also the grill rack doesn't stay put and could rattle around a bit. I cut a piece of shelf liner to fit and that keeps it from moving around when transporting. It got a great travel bag too! Love it!

There are some shortcomings to this little bbq, but its portability and ease of use far outweigh it. I find that even on the lowest setting, the grill tends to be pretty hot, so things need to be flipped often or else things will burn. I'm still not 100% sure if I should be even closing it. Its not the easiest to clean, and if you dont at least wipe down the grease tray between use, it can and will catch on fire. It is super portable, sets up in a snap, lights up on the first click, cooks pretty evenly considering it does burn a little on the hot side. Considering the cheap portable bbqs that used to cost no more then 30 to 40 bucks, now cost around $100 or more, this unit is pretty good.

Nice bbq. There are hot spots so it takes some getting use to. Get quite hot and has no trouble cooking whatever I've tied to cook. I like it and am happy with the purchase.

took this to the dominican for a month on its maiden voyage. our oceanfront balcony was extremely windy but it was no problem for this unit. the electronic push start worked like a charm and the heat distribution was fab. the fact that this bbq fits perfectly in our carry on and can feed 4 makes it a winner. off to mexico for 2 months now.

This is a great little BBQ, no issues with heat. For that 5 stars. The lid does not lock well, very poor design as well as the liquids spill over to the catch tray that is not removeable for cleaning. Foil is needed to keep as clean as possible. Other wise a great BBQ, worth the money IMO.

Wanted a small portable grill to take to Florida for a long vacation. Bought this unit after reading all the reviews. Bottom line: well worth the money. It grills nicely, is portable and sturdy, and is a trusted brand name. Some bullet points to consider.Portable - Yes. Had an old canvas carrier that I used to transport it along with a couple of small propane tanks. I balked at spending the $30 for the customized Coleman bag, but will probably ask for that as a Christmas gift.Lightweight - Not really. It weighs 11 lbs., but to me that translates into a sturdy unit.Grilling Experience - Has settings of low, medium and high. Can't imagine why you would need anything other than low. I grill my steak well done and it only takes about 20 minutes at the most - much faster than my patio grill at home. You have to stay close by and turn the meat frequently to avoid charring.Clean Up - Grease pan cleans up nicely. Is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is sufficient. Grill surface does get baked on material that doesn't all come off. Dishwasher option is nice, but get most of the material removed before then. Hey, it's a grill and it's not going to be shiny very long.Cut Potential - Yes, the grease pan has sharp edges and you need to be careful. At first, getting the grease pan back on the grill is a little tricky, but by the second time, I found the secret is to put the back of the pan on first, then slightly push in on the front of the grill and the pan will snap down onto the grill nicely without endangering your fingers. Reasonable care will avoid cuts entirely. All in all, a great purchase. I'd recommend to anyone that loves to grill on the go.

Living in a condo with storage space at a premium, we needed something compact but fully functional. After reading the reviews, we decided this grill was exactly what we needed. It has a surprisingly large grilling area, very adequate for cooking for a couple or small family. Assembly was minimal (screw on legs), the propane line connection snapped into place easily, it started on the first click and almost immediately I could feel the heat rolling out. I grilled chicken and never set it past Medium heat, which was very adequate. I loved the fact that unlike the other portable tabletop by Coleman, this has a lid that is domed to be able to cook in true grill-like fashion with the lid closed for faster cooking. The chicken cooked quickly, had nice sear marks on each side and was juicy and delicious. A great trial for this little grill!I appreciate the fact that the bottom drip pan is designed to come out for easy cleaning. The grill and drip pan fit in a kitchen sink for soaking or washing. Because of another review with a dire warning about the extremely sharp edges on the drip pan, I was very concerned and that was the first thing I checked as I inspected the grill. I carefully looked at the edges and even ran my finger all the way around the edge, fully intending to use my rotary grinder to dull them down if they were sharp enough to cause concern. I could find nothing that I felt would be problematic. The drip pan and grill cleaned easily. Also, addressing another issue that was brought up in the reviews, if you leave the grill attached to the propane tank, it will not tip over backwards when you remove the grill and drip pan for cleaning.Others have complained about the latch. Perhaps theirs needs minor adjusting. When I close the grill and latch it, it stays closed. I walked around holding it by the handle and it did not come open. I even sat it on end and rattled it back and forth trying to get it to pop open and the latch stayed closed.I'm impressed with the fact that everything needed for grilling (except the propane tank) fits comfortably inside the grill resulting in a wonderfully compact package with a very small footprint when stood on end. Based on the suggestion in other reviews, I have ordered the carrying case, but only so I will have a convenient way to store and carry 2 tanks with the grill. Otherwise, it's so well designed and handy it really wouldn't be necessary.Bottom line is that I am very impressed. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this little beauty. The workmanship is good, what I would expect from Coleman. It functioned perfectly on the first try out of the box. It is lightweight, easy to carry and small enough to easily tuck away in a trunk, corner of a closet or even in a kitchen cabinet. I couldn't be happier with my choice, for our purpose it is as close to perfect as I could hope to find.UPDATE: After almost 2 years, I had a problem arise with the handle. The heat from frequent grilling caused a part on the handle to disintegrate, resulting in the handle coming off. The grill was at the end of the 2 year Warranty period, so I contacted Coleman, explained the problem and asked for a new handle and insulating washer to fix it. To my surprise, after I provided pictures showing the problem area, Coleman replaced it with a BRAND NEW GRILL! I am extremely impressed with their customer service department and their warranty service. This is definitely a company that stands behind their products. I would not hesitate to recommend this grill to anyone!
