Received this item as a gift and was so excited because my son loves bunnies and I’m so glad I tried to turn it on and get it setup without him around because it was broken and so loud and terrible sounding. The squeaking feature would only work if I pressed on the sides of the body and the hopping was very inconsistent. It would work when upside down but on the ground would rarely hop if at all. It’s also incredibly loud even with proper sound. Gonna see if my friend can get a refund cause I’m sure a proper working one would probably be loved.

We saw a review mentioning the squeaker could be removed (carefully unpick seam above the tail and pull out the plastic squeaker) and we have done this also! Was nerve wracking performing the surgery!! And you need to be confident in your sewing skills, but it is definitely way better from a parents perspective, it's a quiet little squeak now instead of something that would get tiresome incredibly quickly! Happy with the novelty toy in general, it's for our 18m old so he's still at the stage where he's very easily pleased and I'm excited to give this to him at Christmas.

Is it probably also super annoying? Yes. But my little 6 month old girl was beaming at it. Worth it.I threw out the carrot since it's velcro and I feel like that would ruin the soft fur. I'll just find some play veggies for it. I like that the screw feels secure over the battery compartment, but I'll still watch her with it. I wish it was easier to screw in somehow while still feeling secure. I'm worried that I'll strip the screw and it'll be stuck.
