Q: I add this between the antenna cable and the tv. Do I need to plug this into an outlet as well?
A: Yes, It is a powered amplifier. You can either plug it into a wall receptacle or a USB port. If your TV has an open USB port you can power it there.
Q: Can this be connected to a converter box which is connected to the tv?
A: It needs to be connected between the antenna and the converter box, and should be connected as close to the antenna as possible. If you are running the antenna lead into the converter box directly now, then this will be connected to the converter box. The box will then connect to the TV.
Q: Can this be used in-house on a rooftop antenna?
A: It is an indoor device (not weatherproof) that will work with a rooftop antenna(outdoor antenna). It connects after the long cable run, before a splitter or the TV. It runs on DC power so should be near an USB outlet (or the USB port on the TV).
Q: Can this product help my TV to enhance the signal?
A: This product worth it to increase signal strength if you have an indoor antenna! Just that extra signal boost to let my smart TV jump channels cleanly!

I bought this to replace a different model that had died.To say this is basically junk, would be an understatement.No instructions, no identifying markings.Do not waste your money.

It's very easy to use with my antenna. Just plug the antenna into the amplifier, then the amplifier into the TV. It picks up a lot more channels than before and a lot of them are further away. Fairly stable channels, but needed a lte/5g filter for it to work properly. small enough that it doesn't leave you with too much cable to manage, but long enough to still reach most antennas.

This amplifier allows the signal through when it’s off. When it’s on, the signal is not amplified. I have tried different configurations and all you pay for is the LED.

My antenna is on top of a 100 Foot tower that is about 100 Foot from the house. At times, the picture was a bit noisy. With this antenna amp, the channels have a strong noise free signal.
