After finding my old tamogotchi from the 90's my daughter wanted one for her birthday. It is literally exactly how I remember the original. Glad I could find the color she wanted as well.

Works exactly like my original from back in the day. The battery life seems to be very decent - it's been many months now and it's still alive and kicking.There is very little wear and tear after all this time, and my kids love to play with the toy. The only caveat is that the screen is not super bright - i'm assuming a limitation of the original design.

Este lo compre para mi hija, se puso de moda y el tamagochi resucito, es identico a como lo recordaba.Al principio lo atendian mi hija y mi esposa, pues pedia atencion a las 3 de la mañana(por que no lo programamos bien) supongo que seria la hora perfecta para que un tamagochi comiera en Japón, pero nosotros somos de Mexico, ya se imaginaran lo molesto.para no hacerles largo el cuento, mi hija le perdió el interés y se convirtió en un hijo abandonado, segun sus palabras.lo ultimo que nos paso fue que cuando lo habíamos olvidado por completo, comenzó a pitar y creímos que el aire acondicionado estaba fallando, hablamos hasta al tecnico.por lo tanto, la pila es muy buena, el tamagochi es resilente y las infancias le pierden el interés muy rápido.

Bought this because I was nostalgic and craved some useless little thing to take care of, something that even if I fail, it won't matter. I don't regret it. It's only been a few days, but so far it helps keep me from sleeping all day because I'm scared it will die. Somehow my first one died two days in. Genuinely no idea how, I barely ever even let it get to the point that it would beep at me, poor thing just started death beeping and I couldn't do anything about it lol, but I'm not upset. It's a good challenge, I suppose maybe it got sick and I didn't notice? I feel like sometimes it doesn't beep to alert you if it poops, and sometimes it does? Or maybe it doesn't at all? Shrug, I'm not quite sure but I don't really mind. It's still very fun and I am very much enjoying this stupid little toy.I'm only slightly annoyed by the dull screen that can be unviewable from many angles, but that's expected with these guys unfortunately.

It's absolutely functional and works exactly how it's supposed to. I got one for me and one for my sister as a nostalgia present because we each had one as children and loved them dearly. I did not realize how absolutely annoying these things are. I am an adult with no children - this toy is not meant for adults like me, haha. I highly recommend this thing if you love toys that demand constant attention or if you have a child who you want to keep busy or teach about pet care but not as a trip down memory lane, necessarily.

I love it!! I had these as a kid and and loved them back in the day. I've been home sick with COVID the past few weeks and bought one to keep me company since I'm quarantined away from everyone right now. This tamagotchi is super cute. Made me laugh how I never read the directions as a kid which is why my tamagotchi's used to always die or turn out ugly. I used to think the angel was a tamagotchi character only to find out at a 27 year old that it was actually dead. Can't wait to see what cute little alien I get as an adult. So nostalgic. Highly recommend.Update: (I have now had it for about a week..)I was taking super good care of it. Made sure all of the hearts were always full and that the tamagotchi got disciplined when it needed it. I was ready for my tamagotchi to evolve on the 3rd day and then it died. I looked at the reviews and other people with this problem said not to feed it the cake. I reset my tamagotchi and tried that method. IT WORKED! My tamagotchi finally evolved.
