Completely stopped working after 1 week. Won’t charge, nothing! Sadly my 11 year spent $100 of her Christmas money on it for nothing. Reach out and was told I could return, only to be told I missed the return date by 1 day. Not happy with the customer service at all.

So this tamagotchi has done such a good job of adding enough features to keep it fun and interesting, but keeping the original and nostalgic feeling. I’m having such a good time with it, I purchased the tamagotchi pix as well. Super cute and fun!

I love the feel of the buttons and the fact that Bandai actually put buttons on the Uni unlike those horrendous touch sensitive buttons on the Pic.The slowdown on the Tamagotchi On was frustrating but the Uni is quick and responsive.The screen is very vibrant compared to the last few Tamagotchi models and the addition of a rechargeable battery with a usb-c plugin is fantastic.There are a couple of movement sensitive additions to the Uni but the wrist strap isn't really required. You can take your Tama for walks and it will roughly sense your steps but you can easily put it in your pocket. The Uni is much thinner than the On or Pix by at least half so it's way easier to hide in your pocket. The strap barely fits on my wrist anyway.My nitpicks: The colour options for the Uni. I'm so sick of pink and purple for these colour Tama releases.The menu on the Uni reminds me of those cheap smart watch ripoffs for children, it could have been cleaned up a bit in my opinion. The character roster is a little limited but I like that we're back to characters based on care mistakes etc and not breeding.Overall, I like the device. It's not perfect but it's a big step in the right direction. I'm sure an exclusive updated model is coming in the near future.

My genuine only issue with the physical tama is with the watch addon it gets clunky, I feel like they could’ve easily made it more flat and formfitting, I also have an issue with the wifi. Literally had it set ON my wifi box and it would not connect, I had to use my phones hotspot to get it to work so I don’t know if that’s on my end, I got a defective one or if tamagotchi just sucks at wifi compatibility, aside from that it’s perfect, everything you’d want in a tamagotchi and more
