This is a fantastic, detailed model kit, and something that an experienced modeler will definitely enjoy. There are a few sub-assemblies that allow for some customization of the model, to make this “your version” of this great aircraft.Note: please do not attempt to undertake this if you do not have some experience in modeling - you’ll be frustrated by the experience. However, if you put a few models together, the instructions included in this kit will be easy to follow and result in a great replica of this classic fighter.

In order to build this model and have it appear as in the photo, many additional tools are required as well as a major expense in paint. I live in an apartment and modelling space is therefore limited. The paint, including spray paint, would be impossible as well as quite expensive

As with Tamiya's other 1/32 scale aircraft models released since the 2000s, this one is a very good one. The rivets and panel lines are very detailed and don't feel exaggerated. One of the best Spitfire models on the market. The proportions are also great. It is fun to have a lot of gimmicks installed. The size of the box is the same as the A6M in the same lineup and smaller than the P-51. It is a good product that I would recommend to anyone.

An excellent product from Tamiya in 1/32 scale as usual. Worth every dime. Just added barracuda resin wheels and enhanced cockpit along with maketar masks. Cant wait to get the sprue citters out!

力のはいった傑作機です。機体色は、箱書きの色とちがっています。指定色でなくても、近似色でも十分に雰囲気がでます。着色パターンも説明書にあり親切で、縮尺図あり。製作は、説明書通りで完成です。中級クラスの者にお勧めします。なお、着色する箇所を考えてパーツを完成させておくと、良いでしょう。注意点は、キャノピーと足回りは慎重に取り付けて下さい。キャノピーは、ハセガワのアプリケーションシート（Ａ４）を購入すると簡単に製作できます。（いつもキャノピーには、泣かされていましたので、お勧めします。）デーカルをはると、さすが名機となりました。
