I’ve used a Tasco Propoint Red Dot on my S&W M29 for over 30 years with perfect results. Withstands magnum recoil and always holds zero. I bought this updated version for my shotgun. Nice sized 30mm tube. Packaging says 5mm dot. I’ve used many Red Dots over the years and this seems closer to a 3mm dot, which is what I prefer.With all the cheap unknown Red Dots in the market, I perfer to rely on a product from a known and very reliable company. Tasco is now a Bushnell product.

Item failed second time out. Tried calling support and left message as requested. Tried filling out their form several times for reason for calling support and heard nothing. No support.

The cap for the battery isnt machined very well, striped threads when removing it for the first time. Literally butter soft metal. Accuracy is fine but the red dot isnt really a dot it's more of a splatter of red. Contacted NelsonLife (Seller) they said they would return it but also said it sounded like user error. Like I said, if threads strip REMOVING the cap that's more of a quality issue than user error. Don't waste your money on this item, go get a good one.

Put this on a air gun, and works well enough.Did have some initial issues getting the battery seated right and the cover scewed on. Thought a first it wasnt working but after playing with these it turned on. All good nowOther thing to note, no surprise, but it is not parallax free. If you are not looking directly centered, the dot will be in a different place. I have a tall front sight to cowitness withand so I am lined up right.

First one was opened and used. This one is new, unopened and works as it should.

The mount and the scope are 2 differen pieces so that you can slide the scope front-back on the mount, and the screw separation is maybe 1mm off so that it does not mount a weaver mount or picatinny properly. As a result each re-mount requires the zero to be off by a LOT.I have been a big fan of TASCO red dot dovetail mount but this is a disgrace.
