This was a gift for my 14 year old LOTR fan. He loves that it can be played independently or with friends. Very well made cards and board, and an overall fun game.

Takes a little time to learn and figure out the best way to play, but once you do, it's great. Lots of replayability and expansions that can be bought separately to further enhance game play

The game is really good, drawings and cards are beautiful. This revised core set is a good start because it includes everything to start alone or with friends. If you love a challenging game (we are losing a lot of games still) and Lord of the Rings you should try it! The only "problem" is that there are a lot of expansions available...

This is a fun strategy game. It can get repetitive with multiple plays without purchasing expansions but it’s a great alternative to video games and I can never get enough middle earth content.
