I have the V2 of the Mini and the wire was broken, I was looking for replacement wires and all were a bit expensive. I found this as an alternative as it comes with its own wire AND its a wall plug! I didn't like the others where you had to wrap the cord around, I like that it comes with its own mini connector wire and its very clean. Enough space to fit a standard plug underneath in the outlet. No issues and looks really clean, best product I have bought yet

Works great in our bathroom for music and listening to the news in the morning. The included short cable really makes it look clean and seamless. Doesn't block the other socket at all. The google home mini fits perfectly into the mount with the right amount of tension. The mount tilts forward ever so slightly but not so much that I'd worry about it coming out, it is definitely secure.

These work very well and fit perfectly. I especially like how you can ditch the annoying long cable that comes with the Home Mini as this one has its own charger built-in.

Super practico! sobretodo con mascotas que les gusta ruñir cables. Tengo 2 gatitos y uno de ellos tiene un trauma con eso. Ahorita es como si nada. Lo recomiendo!

does exactly what I was hoping. Have 2 nest mini 2nd gens in the house as well as this google home mini 1st gen and looking for something to have them mounted on the outlets for ease of use and reduction of wires. works perfectly and very simplistic. would definitely recommend. I've checked and doesn't get hot or anything.in my particular situation due to the neutral wider slot, I have to put the dot genie on the bottom outlet which then covers the whole top outlet. that's not a problem for me as I have a ton of outlets in my kitchen, just something to consider.i do not have that issue with the "nest mini backpack 2nd gen 2019" product that is similar to this that i got for my nest mini's 2nd genthat doesn't bother me at all though and i still really like this product, i'd say if you can sacrifice a whole outlet then this is an awesome product. on a side note it makes everything look clean so you probably wouldn't want anything plugged into the same outlet anyways

I love gizmos, gadgets and gimmicks...but they need to have a place and out of the way to be useful. This was planted in our main bedroom as the other Google Mini was too far to hear from our main room...so this was easily plugged behind our bed...now we have anytime, up to date news, alarms and music ... and it controls our lights too. Very easy to install, the plug part was a tad loose but fortunately the plug underneath is a good brace. Really cool way of invention. Excellent solution.

The Dot Genie Google Mini wall mount works as advertised. It's strong, easy to assemble and leaves plenty of room for the second plug on a standard outlet. I had no problems with the Dot Genie’s power cord whatsoever. I like that it gets rid of the mini's long, annoying cord and the device is strong enough to hold the mini firmly in place once it’s plugged in. I've plugged it in above my kitchen counter so I get my daily news and weather updates in the room I use the most. Even listen to audiobooks while I'm cooking. As some other reviewers have noted, the sound quality also seemed to improve. It may be the shorter cord or wall positioning or both. I never used to listen to music on my mini because the sound quality wasn't up to my standards, now, after installing this device, my kitchen has also become a concert hall. Well worth the price.

I read a few of the reviews and was skeptical about it "overheating" or "getting hot" but I haven't noticed that, and I'm still occasionally touching it to make sure.I get what people mean when they say why isn't the "cord" "plug-in" or "hook up" to the "back-up" on the bottom and not the top, but it's fine. You definitely can still access the other outlet, the Google Home Mini just has to go on the top outlet.This works great for what it costs and for it's purpose. This definitely looked like the most low-profile one we could find on Amazon, and it feels that way now that we have it hooked up.Super simple installation, almost foolproof, just click the Mini into the holder, connect the cords, plug it in and away you go.5/5, would buy again.

BUILD AND CONSTRUCTION:This device is very sturdy. Pressing the Google Mini into the clamp is very easy and requires very little pressure. The plug hold VERY securely to the wall socket. There is no lean or sag at all. You may or may not hear a "click" noise as the plastic hinge clamp over the hard shell between the fabric front and plastic back. It basically clips onto the plastic seam. The clamp is very sturdy and I wasn't afraid that I would break it at all. No screws are needed to attach the mini to this unit.PACKAGING:The box is pretty sturdy but very generic, you won't have any second thoughts about tossing it in recycling.PRICE:I feel the price is quite a bit high for something like this. I think the $12-$14 would be the sweet spot. $24 is a very high for this.ISSUES (All Minor Observations)1.) INSTRUCTIONS: There are no instructions with this unit. It comes packed in a way that might confuse someone trying to set it up. Basically and essentially, you need to pull the plug adapter out of the clamp shell, turn it around and flip it over. Make sure the line the USB jack up correctly with the hole in the bracket. It can easily be set off quite a bit, where I had to jiggle it to align it. Make sure you line up your Google Mini USB port to the hole cut out of the clamp.2.) ATTACHING: One of two units I bought had a satisfying "click" noise when I pressed the mini into the clamp to secure it. One clamp made no sound at all when I connected it to the mini which made me double check that it was in securely.3.) RECYCLED?: This that may have been unique to my order. The clamps for both the units I ordered, I believe, had been previously used. I ordered the white units. The moment I took them out of the packaging, there were black scuff marks where the clamp connects to the Google Mini. I have Charcoal Minis and using a magnifying glass the scuff marks match the colour of my charcoal mini plastic. That said, this had no effect on the utility of the unit but was a little disappointing and surprising to see. Luckily, while connected to the mini, I cannot see the scuff marks.

I am very happy with the fact that this has it's own power supply cord, and I don't have to wind the original cord around the holder. This assembles easily, and mounts in the outlet very well. Due to the positioning of the bracket, it does not fall out or pull out of the outlet from the weight of the speaker (some other products in their reviews did pull out of the outlet after time). Some reviewers of this unit stated that it doesn't mount correctly, but they just put it in backwards. The unit is shipped with the electrical plug facing the bracket. You have to "unlock" it, and flip the plug around, and it fits great. And, the way it fits in an outlet, there's still enough room to plug another standard plug in the bottom outlet (if you put this one in the top outlet). I will definitely be buying some more of these for the rest of my Google Mini speakers.

I used this product to get the google home mini into my entry way with little effort. It's a great product for getting your voice assistance into an area where perhaps you don't have shelving or just want a cleaner setup. I also really like how portable it is by simply unplugging it from one room and move it to another if needed.
