I really enjoyed Holly Bourne's Spinster series. I did not like this much.Well written story of a young girl, just moved from her home town Sheffield down south. Amelie is an excellent singer who is basically accosted by another musician in her new school who is a selfish dick, but of course she does not see it. So a very painful trip for the reader, some good stuff for someone maybe living through a hell like this, not me.2.5 rounded up as I do like Ms Bourne's writing and the issues she raises.

This is a book about a girl who falls in love with a boy and loves him so much she cries. She doesn't know why she cries. Although I did not ever cry in public, I have cried. If I would have read this book at age 17 or 18. I may not have married the man who made me cry.One of the things your brain does to feel safe, is it creates an strong intense bond with the person who is hurting us.So, the girl goes to every place her boyfriend ever took her and made her cry and relives the events step by step to try to sort out why she has cried at these places since you know she loves him so much.I recommend this book for all young teenagers, and I seriously didn't know it was a YA until I read it but it sure made my inner 18-year-old cry again. She didn't deserve it and neither dose any young girl.Love should not hurt. (less)

You will mostly definitely cry when you read this book, but it's also a blessing in disguise. This book will leave you with lessons on life, equality, feminism and relationships!A must read book for all those looking for love in a messed up world.
