Your cart is empty.The winged man looks triumphant with his arms stretched above his head as he stands before an architectural backdrop. A cloth draped across his body frames his muscular form. His hair is slicked back, reminiscent of a hood ornament from 1928. Art Deco, a style of visual arts, is full-on in this decorative bookend with its intricately sculpted details and design. It looks like a metal sculpture, but it's intricately sculpted in cold-cast metal, a process of mixing metal powders with resin, giving this statue the look of solid copper and bronze. I purchased 2 of the "Winged Man" bookends. They are clearly and beautifully done in the Art Deco style. Heavy for their size, they are detailed intricately with a copper finish and are very appealing. Though they are meant to be used as bookends, they are almost too beautiful to use as such. This product could also be a terrific addition as a piece of art on a mantle or side table. I recommend this wonderful and elegant item or items without hesitation.

This is EXACTLY what I needed to accentuate the hammered copper and iron narrow console table that will display a nice collection of books that I'll showcase. PLEASE NOTE: this is a SINGLE bookend so I've also purchased the female variant which I'm waiting to pair up. The overall detail and quality of the cold cast bronze is exquisitely detailed and it comes with a gorgeous copper patina which will work perfectly with the look I have in mind. I'll update this review with a photo of the pair with the console table.The ONLY improvement I can think of would be to add a little more thickness to the base and back so it has a little more heft and height for large books. But this is an EXCELLENT piece that would look good in any library!

Love everything about these bookends! They are immaculately finished, beautiful in overall design, and my favorite bookends of my entire library. (I proudly use these with the special displayed first editions). Could NOT be happier!
