This thing is garbage! It malfunctioned while my wife was driving on the freeway at highway speeds with my child. The unit put the truck in limp mode and dropped her speed to 35mph on the freeway. Scarred the heck out of her as she had other vehicles behind her that almost hit her. Don't be cheap (like I was being), get the OTT tune done on your Toyota.

So far so good I have a $300 pedal commander on my 5.7 tundra so I thought wtf try this one for $60 ....well the results are basically identical as far as city, sport, go you get a quicker throttle response if your looking for gpm don't buy trucks or suvs lol if you want a some more pep it's pretty nice it's not add on hp it's just a throttle responder it's gonna open quicker sending more air and fuel faster then oem programming...anyway cold air intake, jet map sensor, pedal control it does not feel stock I get 17/18 everywhere running 32"×10.5 on a 3" 4 runner definitely feels and moves better then before.I'll update with videos in another few weeks.So far so good 2.7 seems to be sweet spot for all around intake throttle Conrol and jet mass air flow feels like a new truck!!

I own a 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport, V6, A/T. From day one, the long delay from the time I pressed the accelerator pedal to when the truck actually responded to my input annoyed me so much. I finally decided I was going to do something about it. I considered getting the OTT tune on my truck, but I would have to make a 200 mile roundtrip to the nearest shop that does the procedure, so I decided to try a throttle response controller first instead. I was about to purchase the popular $299 controller when I happened to see this one. At about 1/4 of the price of the popular unit, I didn’t get my hopes up when I bought it and figured I would return it if it didn’t perform like I wanted.All I can say is WOW! This little thing is a game changer. I absolutely love it. No more throttle lag! Race mode is insane. Too much for my liking, but the mode just below it set at 2.3 is the sweet spot for me. It dramatically improves the way the truck accelerates and made it FUN to drive!I can’t compare this controller to any others or a tune, but I don’t think I need to because I can’t imagine how anything else could improve performance any better than this has.The module is tiny and can be hidden anywhere or stuck to your dash if preferred. The difference between having this controller and not is truly night and day. I’ve been driving with it for a few weeks now and have had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this throttle response controller. It costs a fraction of other brands and drastically improves performance. Simple plug and play installation only takes a couple of minutes. I installed it on my lunch break. If you have a 3rd Gen Tacoma, YOU NEED THIS!

Love it, wondering if it harms the engine long term or maybe its because I love the 2.9 sport mode so much with the cold air intake and longer throttle but sure using more gas 😆

I've installed 2 of these, one on my FJ and the other on a Tacoma. They work great and I view them as impt mods for the bulletproof but "meh" V6 engines in those vehicles. Simple 5 minute install and easy to figure out how to use. On both vehicles P26 worked best as a compromise between acceleration and fuel economy. That turned out to be the recommended setting when I put it in "learn" mode. Half of the people that install these are expecting it to change the fuel map. It doesn't. It just pretends like your foot is as powerful as Sasquatch. Smaller movements to the pedal create faster openings of the throttlebody butterfly. The only thing linking your gas pedal to the engine is a wire. There is no throttle "cable" per se, so the 9 Drive adjusts the signal to the throttlebodies based on foot input, adjusting the sensitivity. I'm sure the Pedal Commander does a few extra things, but I can't imagine it's worth the extra $250. The 9-drive module is sold via a host of other brand names, but it's really the same thing. If you're paranoid you can always change a setting to where it has no input to the throttle signal. It can also be removed as quickly as it installed without any splicing - in about 2 minutes.

I recently took the plunge and invested in the 9-Drive, and let me tell you, it's been nothing short of a game-changer for my driving experience. The process involved leaving the driver's door open for 15 minutes and placing the key fob a minimum of 35 feet away from the vehicle before installation. While unclipping the wiring harness from the foot pedal took a bit of time, once that step was accomplished, the rest of the installation was quick and straightforward.I opted for the sports mode, setting it to 2.9, and the difference in performance is astounding. It's out of sight, out of mind for my passengers, preserving the stock look of my vehicle.A significant relief is that the 9-Drive doesn't trigger any error messages, and it has had no impact on my cruise control. It seamlessly integrates with the car's systems, providing a boost in performance without compromising any existing features.In conclusion, if you're on the fence about upgrading your driving experience, the 9-Drive is a worthy investment. It's user-friendly, enhances performance, and its inconspicuous placement keeps the interior looking sleek.
