After getting a new EGo weed trimmer, I noticed so issues with line feeding. After replacing spring in head end, everything worked perfectly and I am unhappily trimming grass again. (Least pleasurable part of yard care).

When my spring went missing I ordered these. It was a perfect replacement to restore the auto load functionality.

I ordered these hoping they would fit my EGO AH1620 trimmer. It worked perfect. Also, the bottom on the trimmer head wears out rather quickly. Remove the bottom using the push in tabs on each side and then remove the small Phillips screw in the indented center. Drill a 1/4" hole dead center of the indented bottom and put hex headed 1/4" by 1 1"4 long bolt through with a large flat fender washer on the outside. Then use a lock washer and nut on the inside and fasten down tight. Put the bottom back on the head. This will prevent wear on the bottom assembly and extend the life indefinitely and will not interfere with the trimmer heads usage. If you are confused look on YouTube for a video on this subject. It won't be under an EGO head, but it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. I've done this now on two different types of heads with great results. Good Luck.

My Ego trimmer works great, but our lawn is bordered by paver stones that form a retaining wall, and they also form a lip around the yard. When trimming, the cord gets chewed up by those pavers, so I go through cord pretty quickly. But when this happens, I get mad at the device, and if the cord doesn't feed as expected, I get more angry. Once, I tossed the head of the trimmer in a tantrum, and the spring popped out and was lost. These springs work perfectly. The YouTube video I eventually watched then showed me how foolish I had been; replacing cord on these is easy, and I needn't have removed the head at all.So if you're reading this, I assume you also got angry and tossed the head and lost your spring. Watch the video and enhance your calm.
