This Android-based music player and e-reader is an solid option for parents looking for a device with customizable parental controls. I appreciated that it comes pre-loaded with the most popular music, ebook and audiobook apps. It doesn't support downloading apps from the Play Store by default however, though it does have Google Chrome. The package includes a charging cable, wired earbuds, and a 64GB MicroSD card, a nice value-add.

1) Uses Android 9.2) Uses Pi Music Player. You can create playlists inside of the Pi app.3) Has bluetooth. I didn't try connecting this to bluetooth earbuds or headphones yet.4) a) The maximum volume is kind of low. I guess this is to prevent kids from damaging their ear drums.4) b) When using earbuds, the volume can go higher.5) Great size for small hands. The MP3 player is thick and feels sturdy. The thickness helps with getting a good grip on the player.6) Intuitive to use. There is a home and a back key. These are just the normal Android icons. So, younger kids may not know what the icons are for.7) Some of the apps that are pre-loaded are called Music (this is Pi Music Player), Spotify, Spotify kids, Apple Music, Pandora, and Amazon Music. It doesn't look like you can uninstall these.8) Comes with a manual, USB-A to USB C cable, and a pair of wired earbuds.9) Charges fine using a USB-C charger (using a USB-C to USB-C cable).10) The player has a speaker, micro SD card slot, and a 3.5mm auxiliary port.11) a) There is a 64 GB micro SD card included.11) b) I'm unsure why the product title says "80GB". I don't know what this refers to. Maybe it's a typo and it's referring to the included 64 GB micro SD card.12) There is a power button, volume up button, and a volume down button on the side.I can definitely recommend this MP3 player. It's fine for adults too if you need or want one.

I remember when I was in high school, all I wanted was an iPod Touch, and then I finally got one. I had it before I had a smartphone, and it was my media device. This device reminds me of that, except it's at a fraction of the cost. This reminds me exactly of that, except in 2025 the advancements in microprocessors has gotten to the point where an 'old' chip is good enough to be put into a device like this for well under $100.Except on top of that, it comes with a microSD card, and earbuds (also some nostalgia for when manufacturers would include that). If you're a parent and just want your child to listen to music, you can delete the apps within the device, and there is child settings as well. But it comes preloaded with all the major music listening apps. But like I was saying before with how amazing 'cheap' tech has gotten:I was expecting the screen quality to be terrible, and have barely readable DPI, but the colours are great thanks to it being an IPS display. It's the perfect device for:-Kids-Adults that don't want to risk losing or damaging their phones-Elderly/Non tech savvy people (all the main apps you'd want are preloaded on the screen)I would honestly say that it's so good for the value that it's almost stupid NOT to buy it.This is coming from somebody that is deeply invested in tech trends regarding advancements in microprocessors, and other 'geeky' fields. It's one of those things that makes you reevaluate your view on how affordable tech CAN be.

I really like the idea of an old-school MP3 player (think the original iPods) for my easily-distracted kiddo. He likes listening to music while he does his chores, podcasts and audiobooks when he’s working on a puzzle or playing with toys in his room, and sleep noises when it’s time for bed. His tablet is out of the question, because he’d be up all night playing games. This music player comes pre-loaded with 3 major music streaming apps (Apple Music, Spotify and Prime Music), plus Deezer for podcasts, the Kindle app, and Audible for audiobooks. The speaker is weak, and poor sound quality, but it is Bluetooth compatible and has a wired headphone port, so the sound is best using headphones. It’s basically a stripped-down Android phone without the cellular capability. On the one hand, that’s great for kids: no calling, texting or games. On the other hand, you cannot add any other apps. You are limited to the included ones only. If you use YouTube for music, you’re SOL.IMPORTANT: You cannot access the Play Store, so if you delete an app, it’s gone until you do a factory reset. For some younger kids, the limited selection gives them the opportunity to listen to music and audiobooks without the added distractions of games. For older kids, though, you get more bang for your buck with a tablet or entry-level phone. It’s a decent item overall, and feels sturdy with responsive touchscreen functionality. Be sure to consider if your kid may be ready for a phone in a short time before you buy.

THis is a great gift for your child if they are not hung up on having a phone or you as a parent are not ready to let your child have a phone because this is a pure MP3/4 player with no functional ability for texting or messaging so best be aware of that.As far as the player itself, it is well made and offers storage fof up to 1TBThe memory is expandable by adding a SD card. There are preinstalled apps and the player has WiFi and Bluetooth so you can download other apps. You can remove preinstalled apps and control what your child has access to on the net with parental controls which is really handy to have.
