I picked this kit to build a foldable table for my shop, but it will be used for our next kitchen island because this is a great product. The slides are impressive, they glide easily, although they are not built using ball bearings. They are simply machined correctly with great tolerance. All the part are great quality components and this makes a really nice kit that will end up as a high-quality professional result. The instructions are OK, but since there is a multitude of options to install theses, the instructions don't cover every situation, and this is typical for kits like theses. On the other hand, most kits come with more accurate technical drawing. I would not recommend it as a beginner's project if you want to set up the front panel with wheels. If you have done a couple of cabinets before, then the wheel option is definitely doable. In my case, this will be on a kitchen island, which gives me different options since the cabinet can open from both sides. I'll leave most of the storage space for the other side and I will use the moving part to hold my pizza stone, pans and pizza peel. As I want the wheel to be hidden, this means the wheel will be behind the kick panel, so that will be about 7-8 inches deep.

Having worked with and installed all kinds of slides, it's rare to find a slide that is absolutely as smooth and frictionless as these slides.A very very tiny bit of bearing friction during the sliding motion is usually noticeable but there is none from these slides. Very professional, very industrial. My initial plan was to build a hidden slide-out top on my dining room display credenza as an extended serving piece. Then I thought of building an extension for my oak dinning room table. Then I thought maybe it could be used as an extension out feed for my shop table saw.So many different applications for these slides. The kit is as complete as it gets. All you need is a router for the flush mounted cross hinges.Included are 2 aluminum slides for left and right sides. Each slide weighs in at 2003g (4.41 lbs), 2 heavy-duty caster wheels, 4 concealed cross hinges, aluminum cross brace, full colour instructions/diagram of sample extension install. The included instructions and advert images don't show how the centre extension leafs are stored but I would surmise the slides be installed low enough where the extension leafs can be stored on top of the slides as it is hidden.I would note that it may not be necessary to install all 4 of the concealed cross hinges. Maybe only 2 and have one extension leaf as an optional loose-leaf that can be placed if needed. This way the entire slide does not have to be totally extended to be useful all the time even though the full extension is 50"inches.With having one loose-leaf, 3/4 of the extended table can then be used, predicated on space requirements. Most important part of this build will be the front facing frame structure. If this is solid without any flex, then the rolling of the casters and slide movement will be effortless.
