Update: the seller quickly shipped a replacement and the replacement is all good. Our little guy LOVES this toy and it's just what we wanted. It's definitely a toy, not an instrument per se, but it sounds pretty good and the price is great. Most importantly, he's so happy to have his own "guitar" and it's appropriate for his age.We ordered this for our toddler, who is obsessed with guitars at the moment. It's so cute and feels like a quality instrument, but ours arrived missing a fret and with a couple of marks on it. I'm wondering if we got a return, because the box was in excellent shape and there's no sign of the missing fret in the box. We've contacted the seller and will update this review after hearing back.

Acheté pur un enfant de 4 ans très heureux de sa guitare. Belle qualité bien que les motifs décoratifs soient un peu enfantins pou son âge. Je recommande.

For $30, I didn't have high expectations, but I have to admit, I was hoping to be able to pluck out a major scale on it. The frets, while they could be functional, are horribly placed-- as in not half steps. If I tune the 3 strings to C, F#, and C#, then something like a major scale can be found on some combination of the frets. A little more care in the design would have made this playable. To be clear, the strings do sound and the tone is actually not horrible. Obviously there isn't a kid in the world under 3 will be upset with it. But if you have some musical skills and are looking for something both cute AND playable, you'll need to look elsewhere.
