If you want a tool that cut ties effortlessly this is the tool for you. If you’re a little bit OCD, that’ll help that too.

This felt like a bit of a luxury tool that probably wouldn't work or was over kill. I bit of a gizmo. BUT actually it's pretty good. Does what it says it can do. I don't have everyday use for it but I have times when I need to do quite a bit of clipping and these have not failed me. A really nice pair of angled head side cutter would do as well but the Knipex ones I think are not in production. And if you can get them they cost a fortune and I don't need that quality. So in short if you need a moderate use tool this one is fine although I would NOT push the steel to anything other than ties. If you want something more multipurpose fork out for some angle head cutters but be prepared to empty the bank balance.

Well I'm thoroughly impressed with these cable tie cutters. Thus far they are the best ones I've ever used and I've used a lot making rope light displays as a business. If you care about finish quality these are it. It cuts completely flush with zero jagged edges exposed. Tool feels light and the cutting edges are extremely sharp. Zip ties ride along the side allowing a perfect perpendicular cut. Definitely recommended.

So these are one of those tools you probably won't use a lot, unless you're really into rewiring boats or campers or other things that have lots of zip-tied wire harness runs. But when you need them, they are the perfect tool for the job. Why? - because the one time you don't accidentally clip one of the wires in that harness removing the extra tight zip tie with a pair of snips will justify buying these. They are specially shaped to allow you to cut the tie without cutting / clipping / scratching the harness wires. Especially useful on harnesses with lots of small wires, or where you're buried deep inside something that you can barely see and want to ensure you don't cut the wires along with the zip tie and create yourself a nightmare, turning a short job into a painfully long one...Well worth the investment for this use case!
