i had to purchase 2 of these, and they still didn't work, no connection to the computer for both units

The aluminum casing seemed alright enough, but the rubber coating over the PCB looked un-uniform in colour. The plastic connector portion appeared to have been subjected to heat and force. The pins in the connector were significantly corroded, as well two of the pins had broken off entirely. It looked like it may have been a poorly refurbished item. which seems to be odd for something that wasn't even an original part. Also return of the item cost me $24 in shipping, pretty brutal experience overall. I mean, I could get my original TCM refurbed for the cost of this plus return shipping.
