So it works for me. I have an 04 ranger and I got an led strip as a 3rd brake light. I wired the yellow to the red led strip wire. And the red from the logic box into the brake lights signal wire. Then I just put the 3 negatives (one from the box, one from the led, and the on from the car i tapped into) together and it works. Only thing i noticed is that if i have the brake and turn signal on then the light will stay off which isn't the worst thing. But otherwise it's quite normal function and doesn't blink anymore with the turn signal.

Did not work for my 2024 F150 king ranch. May work for others. But you can tap into the brake light lead as they are separate at the light.

The first one of these I purchased didn't work at all. No current would pass through to the third brake light. The replacement did work, but not as I expected.The website should do a better job of explaining exactly how this item functions. While it does pass current through to the third brake light, when the brakes are applied, no current passes through when the turn signal is on. If you want your third brake light to illuminate whenever you apply the brakes, you would need 2 of these units, one wired to each left and right turn/brake light bulbs.It would make more sense to just buy one of the units that have input wires for both left and right. I want my third brake light on whenever I apply the brakes, including when a turn signal is on. It would be better to just connect the third brake light wire directly to a turn/brake light wire and have it flash when that turn signal is on, than to not have it on at all.There are much better options out there for activating the third brake light, if you don't want to run a wire all the way to the cab mounted light's wire.

My first impression is this is a toy. Or at best, a prototype. It is not robust enough for its intended purpose. I opened it and was not impressed. This things components could not handle and/or are not designed for commercial use. In summary there are better products.Cheers
