I have a mellophone, which is similar enough to a trumpet for use of this kit.I appreciate the components of the kit. It really has everything one needs to clean a small to mid sized brass valve instrument.The brushes are something I've never had, so I am delighted to use those.The price is really quite great. Buying all of these components separately would cost a good deal more. My only critique is the packaging. Once you open it, it's done. It's just cardboard and a piece of plastic.I think the manufacturer could upgrade by offering some type of plastic container or something, that would hold all of these things. It would make sense. When I purchase things with multiple components, I am always going to pick the one with a perfect 'holder' for all the items. It keeps them all together, and nothing gets lost.It wouldn't matter if it costs a bit more.

My daughter was very pleased with this trumpet cleaning and care kit. We bought her a nice trumpet and after looking at the prices for a kit at our local music instrument store, I found this kit here in Amazon. This kit was much more reasonably priced and had more items included in it, making it a great value.My daughter was grateful for the oils and grease it came with, the cleaning cloth, the extra mouthpieces, and the valve brush. There is a lot of maintenance that comes with brass instruments, and I'm glad she was happy with the tools provided to make that easier on her. She told me the kit is great and that she recommends it. Due to her experience and satisfaction, I will give it 5 stars and recommend it.

I [HIGHLY RECOMMEND] this trumpet cleaning kit. Great for most trumpet players. Includes just about everything you need.Pros:~Great value~Includes all the oils and brushes you need~Large microfiber cloth for shining up the brass~Smaller microfiber cloths for cleaning out the smaller parts~Dress glovesCons:~NoneIf you still want some more information about this product, please read on!______________________________________________________________This is a pretty decent trumpet cleaning kit. It includes brushes for the mouthpiece, the valve, and a longer (snake) brush for running through the trumpet. Soft-bristled so no scratching, and the wire is coated at the end to also help protect from scratching.Also includes slide grease and valve oil. Cork grease is included as well, which might work good as a back-up for the slide grease if you run out. (Doesn't say whether it is petroleum based though.) Overall, this is a great little kit.
