It's not immediately obvious in the Amazon ads but the propeller box states that Turning Point props are compatible with other common prop hubs, including Quicksilver/Mercury Flo-torq so you may not need this hub if you already have one.More importantly though, there are a few reasons why I personally like Quicksilver hubs a bit more:1) while this hub has a "lifetime warranty" and seems more heavy duty than Quicksilver hub, I'm not sure if that's a good thing in my case. Hub's most important job is to cushion the motor from prop strikes so you'd want it to be just strong enough to handle torque of the motor consistently and no more (so it transmits the least amount of force to the motor shaft in case of a prop strike). I'm not actually sure if Turning Point has some built-in failure points but Quicksilver hub *feels* like a weaker design, which is what I want with my 150hp outboard. There are two other reasons though to help make my decision easier...2) turning point thrust washer that goes onto the motor shaft seemed to get stuck to the shaft more than quicksilver thrust washer (that's after less than 6 hours in the water). Not sure if there's a metal hardness difference or just luck of the draw3) Turning point hub design seems to retain a bit more water on the inside (close to the shaft). Not sure if it matters much, especially if you keep your boat in the water but thought I'd mention itOverall, this is a good hub but I'm now running the Quicksilver hub with Turning Point Hustler prop for the above reasons. Bought this under the advice of the manufacturer to eliminate prop chatter for a turning point stainless 4 blade. It didn't help significantly and the prop motor still shakes in low gear.
