This is exactly what I needed to finish my little project for my birds! The crackle is absolutely gorgeous and not too bright so it also blends with my soft patio lights and it's very soothing. We have strong winds from living on a ridge and being able secure it to the wood makes the price so much better for me as well. The quality and heaviness is better then any light I have felt or seen anywhere else too so I absolutely am in love with this!

It actually needs a nice day with no clouds to illuminate brightly.If its cloudy days, some of them will no illuminate properly.Hopefully it will work in winter canada.

les lumières s'affaiblissent rapidement et éclairent à peine pendant deux heures. Très très décevant par rapport aux attentes et au prix que j'ai payé. J'en ai offert deux à une amie qui me les a rapportées.

Too dull to be useful. The way this light was advertised I thought I was getting four lights for $26.00, nope, just one. I looked back at the advert and see why I thought I was getting more than one as well as the prompt to write a review mentions lights plural!. Yes, I could return it and get a ref7nd but could not be bothered after waiting about 3 weeks for it. I needed to have light on my steps!

These lights were replacements for older ones we had. They have a great look and and were easy to install. They were reasonably priced. They do have a recharbale AA battery in them that powers it. One of the lights wasn't working, but when I checked the battery, it had not been fitted correctly. Once aligned properly and closed back up, the light worked just like all the others. They are fairly bright with a classy elegant look. Great for a patio or deck area. Recommend these.

Here the real skinny on these lightsFirst off batteries are charged and work if you cover the solar top or in darker area.Tops that come off to turn switch to either yellow light or white light are not exceptionally snapped on tight actually a bit loose so i will add a bit of plastic into on of the tabs to snug them up so a high wind or bump doesn't knock them loose or blow them loose and off.Light brightness on white light, we have 6 units installed on a 36x12 foot deck. They are bright enough to see where you are walking but thats it they throw enough light to partially dimly light up the deckThey have 2 small led lights I think 3 would be better but then wouldn't last as long with 1 battery.1 light was very very dim first night after install so i tapped on it a bit and it came on properly.Will see how it is in future.Have 8 lights in pack so have 2 spares but we have 2 sets of steps. But just put post caps on at top posts at top of steps for safety so if someone lost balance or stumbles the have something to grab onto instead of destroying a light and or injuring themselves. I shut them off in the fall so they would keep batteries charged up.They have survived through one winter and halfway through second so far with no other problems other than the above issues a bit

I have a true 4x4 post and finding a topper for the post was difficult to find in the local box stores. This model is adjustable to fit a range of sized posts including a real 4"x 4" post. The style is attractive and it gives off a nice low key glow. The installation is intuitive and easy (screws are provided) however we did not see the on/off switch and wondered why the lights weren't working at first. Instructions are in very small print and you practically need a magnifying glass to read them but that's when we discovered there's an on/off switch you need to set to on.
