We've been buying "generic" brands of this filter for years, after buying the OEM one at an eye watering price several years ago. We have found the generics to work just as well, but at a much better price point. This upgraded filter is the best yet, as it comes with a higher MERV rating to keep more dust and particulates out. When you have a highly allergen sensitive household, the MERV rating is a big deal. While this set of filters costs a bit more than the others we have have been buying, to me, the increased MERV rating is worth the extra money. It fits just as well as the other filters we have used over the years.
