Silicone Rubber O-Ring
- Noted for their ability to be used over a wide temperature range and for excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging.
- Standard silicones are resistant to water (to 100°C), aliphatic engine and transmission oils and animal and plant oils, and fats.
- Silicones are generally not resistant to fuels, aromatic mineral oils, steam (short term to 120°C is possible), silicone oils and greases, acids, or alkalis.

So, I used these as replacement bands for a shotgun microphone shock mount, and they work perfectly. Very strong, and flexible/stretchy enough for my exact application.I can't speak to the quality for industrial/mechanical/hydraulic use, so these may fit some coolant connector pipe on your car and may or may not be terrible for that - I have no idea.For my application they're perfect!

On top of the usual plumbing purpose, these o-rings are perfect for personal use. They are the perfect size for me. I wish they were a little more stretchy, but I make them work. They have a Durometer(Shore Hardness) of 55, (FYI, a Pencil Eraser is Shore 40A, and a Car Tire Tread is Shore 60A.) The listing description says 1PCS, but it’s actually 1 package of 10 rings.
