BUT, no way to fasten to shaft EXCEPT by the shear bar, but, the SOLUTION WAS there is enough offset between the shank housing and the circular handle, to drill a hole and thread/set an allen screw into the hub! Be vigilant NOT to overtighten the set screw, as the hub ONLY contains only ONE metal band in the hub, the rest is plastic!! A VERY durable hand wheel

I bought this for a what I thought was a Craftsman but in reality it was a Mastercraft (Cdn Tire) so it didn't fit... grrrr (my bad)

I am using two of these to build a Moxon vise and I will most likely use another one for my tail vise. They are well made and do exactly what they are supposed to do. And I got them quicker than I expected. I have ordered 2 more handles in other sizes for 2 other jobs.
