Installation Instruction
Step-1 Gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to distribute the toner. Then remove the protective cover.
Step-2 Insert the toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks into place.
Step-3 Gently slide the green tab of the drum unit from side to side several times to clean up the corona wire.
Step-4 Install the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly into the printer.

This is an update to an earlier 2 star review on this product. After suffering with a faulty toner cartridge right out of the box I decided to reach out to V4Ink and complain. It was 16 months since my purchase and I wasn't hopeful. To my astonishment I received a prompt reply and a replacement cartridge within a couple of days, no questions asked. Wow! What a great and pleasant surprise for a vendor of a bargain product to stand behind their sale so well. I am a convert.My new replacement cartridge, like the original, came well packaged in a retail box with plenty of padding. There are excellent installation and troubleshooting instructions included in the box. The new cartridge works great. I couldn't be happier.Kudos to Brother for making such a great printer too. I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat.

This will save you tons of money in the long run! I have already printed more than 2000 pages and it's still going strong. The brother printer will first give you a"low toner" warning....ignore it and keep printing. Then eventually, the printer will stop printing and tell you to change the toner. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS MESSAGE! There's still lots of ink in the toner. The greedy printer manufactureres set it up in a way that the printer stops working even though there's still ink in the toner. You can fix this problem fairly easily. For Brother DCP-7060D (and I'm sure for other similar models too), THIS IS HOW TO GET RID OF "REPLACE THE TONER" MESSAGE and print hundreds of additional pages:(Do the following key sequence FAIRLY QUICKLY or it defaults back to "COVER IS OPEN" message)1. Open the front door to access the toner2. Press the "Clear" button3. Press the "Start" button(when you press the START button, the screen should clear)4. Press the "Down Arrow" or "?" button5. Press the "Up Arrow" or "?" button(when you press the "Down arrow" an E0 should appear on the screen, which will change to 00 when you press the "Up arrow")6. Press the "OK" buttonand when the screen sat's "ACCEPTED"7. Close the front doorThis is not some fluke. It works every time. If it's not working, you are doing something wrong. Print out these instructions and do the whole sequence "fairly quickly".Happy printing!

This is a bargain for what it costs. We used all the toner up in my father in law's brother laser printing out colouring pages for the kids to keep them busy so I went looking for an inexpensive way to keep going. I wanted to avoid refilling the toner cartridge because in the past my experience has been that while it does work, it is messy no matter how careful I am with the process it seems.The cartridge doesn't appear to be "refurbished" but rather a new cartridge that pretty much matched and fit exactly like the original. It only took a minute to replace and we were printing dark black again in no time. The toner cartridge does come with helpful instructions, that while they aren't model specific they give you a good enough idea of what you need to do.The printing is pretty much just as clear and dark as the original toner was, I have no complaints about the quality at all. No streaking, blotching or any other unwanted marks on the pages.It's way too early to say what kind of yield we'll get from the cartridge, it'll take a long time before we reach it - but if it gets anywhere close to the advertised yield I'll be very impressed.

Very fast delivery.I first bought a single cartridge, and was so happy. So, I bought the 3 pack set. I was quite disappointed as when I opened the first cartridge I found out that it was all covered with the ink powder. To avoid staining my office carpet, I had to take it to the washroom. On one side, ink was just pouring out. Couldn't use it any more. I opened both remaining plastic bags containing the cartridges. Same thing: they were all covered with the powder. However, ink didn't pour out from them. I installed the second and kept the third.I am just wondering if this is isolated case. I kept the last two for now. Hopefully, no body else got the same experience.Otherwise, very great product.

I bought this knowing I would need to replace the toner cartridge in my Brother unit in the future. I did not use this until past the point of being able to return. Such is life when you order toner before you absolutely have to use it. Saves frustration when a printer will not print.Anyways, this unit is garbage. Since installing we have printed less than 10 pages that have not had ghosting, extra toner, extra images, etc etc etc. Every 5 pages I clean the drum and still good enough to use for yourself but not good enough to hand a document to someone and not be embarrassed.This toner is worthless as it does not allow one to use a laser printer without constant maintenance. On top of that, I am now having to go to a local establishment to buy an over priced drum AND toner because i have to print multiple items for delivey in 2 days....and the drum will not clean up enough for me to be able to print without turning white paper to cream....Complete waste of money and time.I use aftermarket toner and drums in this unit and other units...and this has been the worst piece ever.Will be going back to Inkjet Superstores. Never had an issue with their products.

change out was very easy. As for performance, so far (1 week) it is working as well as the original Brother toner, with good quality B&W print. The original toner cartridge that I was replacing was the small size that came with the printer, and it lasted much longer than the machine was telling me. This replacement was for the longer lasting size, and only time will tell how long it actually lasts with my usage (fairly light) and whether the machine will respond the same way when the toner starts to get low.

I installed this in placed of the starter cartridge in my Brother HL-2270W with no problems and so far I can't tell the difference between it and the Brother Cartridge. Time will tell how it will hold up and what kind of yield I'll get out of it, but considering the cost factor, its so far so good. I'll update this review if and when anything goes bonkers with this cartridge, but if nothing goes bonkers then I'll be saving lots of money and I'll consider myself a V4INK customer for the foreseeable future.

Gave this a try because OEM is asking for too much money.Cartridge was very well packaged. Came with simple instructions.Popped it in and it printed fine.I'm not a heavy user so we will have to see how long it last.Update 11/12/13:Got this a few months ago and was hopeful that it would work without any issues.Happy to say that so far, it has printed fine without any issues.It was easy to install and get working.

The cartridge gave nice solid blacks for about 250 pages, then faded. I took it out and shook it and it is now working okay again. I suppose I'll have to keep doing this until it finally stops working... What I was expecting was a cartridge I could just put in and forget about for 2,500 pages.
