The bracket does not work on a typical ball valve. Ok for me as I was replacing a similar one which had the solid bracket (this one uses a hose clamp...) so I used my old bracket. Programing the remote or water sensors is easy... just push and hold the red button until it turns solid blue and then push the remote button. The blue light flashes and that's it. I set this up using some 433hz water sensors to provide leak detection with auto shut-off in my basement. Had a pipe leak once, so I know the damage water can do. If you can come up with your own mounting bracket, then this will work for you.

I used it for my 1/4" compressor air line. I bent it to fit perfectly. The instructions are written in Chinese only. I knew there was a code to make the remote work (on the Amazon site). I plugged the switch in and held the button down and the button down on the remote. After a few seconds, the light on the switch changes and I let go of the switch button while keeping the button down on the remote. Do the same process for the 2nd button, going the opposite direction.
