A slightly larger web opening gives this mouthpiece a voluminous sound based on the full, focused tone of the BD5 mouthpiece.

I mainly got this mouthpiece for more volume, and it delivers on that without sacrificing tone or response. You will notice that it's quite a bit more difficult to blow through if you are not used to a bigger woodwind like the bass clarinet.

I play the Vandoren BD5. I was hoping to find a mouthpiece that was slightly more lively but with the same intonation and depth of the BD5. I don’t feel this delivered that to my playing so I returned it. Vandoren clarinet mouthpieces are a good, affordable mouthpieces. They all differ slightly. This was not to my particular liking.
