Much needed butt cushion for the kayak, this is our second one like this type. It is very soft and flexible, it's almost like a gel. The cover is very thin, and dried quickly. The bottom has little gripper on it to keep it in place. It is easy to remove and insert into the cover. We spent about 3 hours in the kayaks and you could definitely tell the difference with it.

My kayak has a hard plastic seat that gets uncomfortable after a short time. This pad provides a great deal of comfort and fits well. The interesting design absorbs a lot of pressure. It comes in a black zippered cloth cover but can be used with or without the cover. Not much more to say except I'm really glad I found this.

This seat cushion is compact but, comfortable. There is even a pressure point for your tailbone. This can also be used while kayaking, office chair, car seat, & couch (if needed). I recommend this seat cushion for someone who needs to be comfortable when they are sitting.

I bought a kayak from a friend and it is made of one solid piece of plastic molded into a boat shape. The seat area is hard plasticu and while it is fine for a while, it really does a number on your pirate booty. This cushion is thick enough to take the pain away so that you can enjoy your paddle. The honeycomb style rinses off when you return from the swamp. I don’t know if it floats so try not to tip over.It arrived in a fabric bag which I’m not sure what to do with. I guess you could use it with the cover on it since it has some anti-slip nubs.I did try it with the cover on in an office chair and it added a nice little extra bit of cushion. My spouse weighs a bit more than I and he likes it too but it seems to get flattened a bit more.

I finally got my own kayak this summer and one of the first things I decided after that first float was that I definitely needed a seat cushion to provide extra cush for my tush. This one caught my eye partly because of the gel (I'm assuming silicone) material and also because of the pretty purple color. The first thing I noticed even before I opened the package was the weight, this thing is heavier than I would have expected. The second thing was that there was no purple in sight! But 'in sight' turned out to be the key phrase as I figured out this has a removable cover with dots on one side for better gripping ability. Fluffed up the cushion is about an 1-1/4” and goes down to around 1/4” when sat upon by an adult. The gel does spring right back up when you are not longer sitting on it. I have been rather surprised over the last few weeks at how many places I actually use this cushion. Before it ever saw water I had it in the backseat of our pickup since it isn't quite as comfortable as the back seat, I used it in a couple of lawn chairs while enjoying the summer out in the yard, I even used it for a bit on the wood chair by my craft table...When I finally took it out on the kayak I gave it – and myself – a real workout while paddling across the reservoir and back. The purple gel sure looks weird but so far this cushion has had my back(side) and I have been glad to have it. The entire thing is safe to splash and get wet and it dries fairly quickly in the sun. I will be storing it inside for the winter but I am really looking forward to getting it and my kayak back out again next summer...
