The best this jacket does is heat the neck only. Also the battery takes for ever to charge. Since Friday I had it plugged in and won't charge higher then 26%, it Sunday now and still at 26%.

The heated areas are wayyyy smaller than the images in their listing show, and the only area that heats really well is the neck. The slim upper back area heats a little and the two tiny top of the chest area barely. You can feel the wires are more in certain areas than others.The hood is massive and doesn't fit well unless I had a massive head, but I don't want to take it off if I'll be facing crappy weather. Yet, it is so big, it'll just flop down in front of my face. I guess good if you have a big pompom hat in winter or a beehive hairdo from the 50s.Additionally, there is too much material in the armpits, so when wearing more than a t-shirt, it starts to hurt. And it seems to be off-gassing something somewhat.I bought a size up to accommodate bulkier sweaters and layers in the fall/winter. It has good features to protect the zippers and the adjustable cuffs and cinch ties. The battery has a double protective pocket on the inside of the coat for even more protection, albeit heavy.Other than that, I do feel it seemingly well made. It is a lot thicker and bulkier than it looks in the photo, better for winter or late fall at the least, though I bought it thinking it was warm but thinner and more fexible form fitting for early to mid fall.I do want to test the waterproofness noted in their listing, as that could be great, as my usual coat is just water resistant. Will have to have a good think, as we don't get rain in the later season so much as snow, so the waterproof isn't needed for such a warm bulky wintery coat, and needed for the rainy fall instead but without so much weight to carry around on the nicer fall days.I also have yet to test how long the battery will last.

I bought this jacket to keep me warm outside while I walk the dogs and work in the yard. But the coat doesn’t keep me warm enough and the battery only lasts for 1 hour not 6-8 like they say. And it says in the listing that you get 1000 volt battery but I only received a 500 volt with the jacket. So, you don’t get what is promised in the listing. Also, this jacket RUNS SMALL. When you buy it get a size larger or you will be squeezing into like I am. It’s a fitted jacket so you can feel the heat against your body. But if you go by the measurements they show here it will be either really tight or too small. All in all, it’s a nice jacket but it’s not got enough heat for the battery they give you.

The battery works great and lasted me about 5-6 days of daily intermittent use in -20. And often kept me so warm I'd be peeling off my hat and mitts. But when I didn't need it on for a week when the weather warmed up and tried to turn it on a week later, the battery had drained just being plugged in/out in the cold. So make sure to check the charge before a cold day if you haven't had it on recently.
