Bought this monitor to keep an eye on here on my grandson when he visits. Mom‘s instruction was to not use a Wi-Fi-based monitor. Seen the ring security issues of late? That is why. No cell phone or tablet required for this guy. If non-WiFi is what you’re looking for this is probably the one you want. I recommend this monitor at this price point.The range is impressive. I placed a monitor in a bedroom in the center of the house. I then walked to the backyard and every corner of the property, including down the street four houses away. The receiver was receiving from the camera through at least three walls and brick. Still, the signal strength never dropped below 4 bars (out of five). Both video and sound did not fade (I had football game on tv for sound). Given this, I believe the claim of 900+ feet range, though I did not measure it precisely.The quality of the video on the receiver screen is adequate but not so impressive. Remember, you are not receiving on an iPhone. The screen size is similar to that of an old flip phone (remember those).

As a short overview this is an awesome monitor for the price that allows you to see the babies with excellent monitor range. It also has great night vision and will even play music or let you speak to the babies remotely. I would definitely buy again am recommending to my pregnant friends.For the long version, the my wife and I just brought home our newborn twins and had received a nice WiFi monitor but wanted a monitor with a dedicated monitor just in case WiFi went out. This monitor has been amazing with all the features you need and the only initial drawback turned out to be a benefit in disguise. We were expecting the screen to turn off or go into a rest mode at night but we ended up just putting a rag over the screen which let us quickly check on the babies without wondering if the monitor was still working. The WiFi monitor to contrast would send a notification on sound or motion, but unless you kept it running all the time it took too much effort to find the right buttons in the dark to wake it up. The monitor works all across my house and even out into the yard. We haven’t had a single issue and would definitely buy another if we needed another camera.

This a great baby monitor. It’s very easy to set up and also very mobile should you want to take it different places. My wife really likes the fact that she can clip the monitor to her belt/pants while she works around the house so that’s a great feature as well. The only downside is the monitor screen picture isn’t great from certain angles. If you’re looking at it dead in it’s fine, but from any side angle you can’t really see the video very well. It does have some other nice features such as being about to talk through the monitor and even play music. Overall it’s a great monitor for the price.
